SAILING WITH WAYFAYRER!
This summer Wayfayrer Foods are the official meal providers to an all girl sailing challenge around England and Ireland, which hopes to raise £100,000 for the Sail 4 Cancer charity.
On 7th August the ten strong crew will set off on the SevenStar Round Britain and Ireland. During the 2-week race they will cover 1,760 miles and endure a multitude of weather conditions. Throughout their time at sea the girls will be relying solely on Wayfayrer’s breakfasts, main meals and desserts to provide all their nutritional needs.
The real food pouches are the perfect option on such a challenge as they are easy to prepare, only taking 7-8 minutes to heat once placed in hot water, alternatively the dishes can be eaten cold.
The meals are stacked full of the correct balance of carbohydrates and proteins that keep energy levels continually high. This will prove invaluable for the team throughout the long, tough days, on the ocean waves.
Originally set up in 2001, Sail 4 Cancer aims to raise funds for cancer treatment and research. The charity also provides sailing opportunities for cancer patients and their families. Wayfayrer are very pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile charity.
